Weddings have such a special place in my heart, especially when the bride is a close childhood friend of mine. I remember making music videos and talking about boys in our little friend group. Now, Laura has found the perfect man to do her life with. I thought that catching up over a cup of coffee with Laura talking all about her sweet love story with Sam would be fun, but their big wedding day proved to me that we could have even more fun! From being there while Laura’s family & bridesmaids were praying blessings over her in St Luke’s Parish to getting DOWN on the dance floor to You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift. It was a blast of a day and celebration.
Despite the fact that on Laura & Sam’s wedding day it rained, they made the most of it. Especially with the rain coming during the bridal party portrait photos. I have to shoutout everyone who would run back and forth for Laura holding up my umbrella to keep her a little bit covered between photos. The day truly showed how much love their families have for the newlyweds. It showed in the toasts, prayers, and most of all, the holding of umbrellas, throwing of veils, and just about every other moment on their big day.
Laura & Sam,
I am so very thankful that I got to celebrate your once in a lifetime wedding day with you. You guys are truly two of the kindest people I’ve hung out with. I can’t wait to watch you grow together and to watch your family grow. It feels like just yesterday we were driving away in my mini Barbie car and now you’re driving away with your husband! Just from seeing you two together, I see how very blessed you are to have each other. I truly love you both, especially you Laura, I might be a bit biased, though. And I hope this isn’t the last time I get to serve you with photos! PS, I’m still so amazed at all of the floral arrangements that you put together, Laura, your wedding was truly stunning (but not nearly as beautiful as you were)!
Hugs & lots of love, my friends!
Grace
